Whooooosh went the engines of the plane as we flew over Lake Michigan. My name is Haylee and I'm sitting next to Andrew Dale. He's a small airplane pilot, but on weekends he's my Dad. Mostly, he flies other people around the country. Today, it’s just me and we’re flying to Michigan. Sound exciting? It’s my first flight, but I’m not sure about our destination. Even if we do visit Grammy and Poppop, the truth is that my friends are going to cool places while I’m stuck in “the UP” for summer break. Mom is nuts about Munising’s water, woods, and a wooden bowl made there a hundred years ago. I think we’ll be bored to tears but, I could use some company. Want to come along?
